William Grimes

William M. (Bill) Grimes, 89, passed away Friday September 30 in Punta Gorda. He was born January 12, 1916 in Andrews, Indiana. Bill was a retired executive from Ford Motor Company, served in the United States Air Force during WW II and was an avid fisherman. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 25 years, Virginia (Ginger); sister Carol Ampthor of Holly, MI; daughters, Lisa Grimes of Port Huron, Mi. and Suzanne French of Boca Raton, FL, sons Mike Rhodes of Ft. Lauderdale FL and Gary Grimes of Great Falls, Virginia; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth (Betty) Grimes. Private service will be along the AuSable River in Michigan. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of SW Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238.
