Vasant Patel, beloved father, passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on December 17, 1945, in Kenya, Africa, Vasant lived a life defined by kindness, devotion to his family, and a deep commitment to caring for others. As a brilliant and compassionate surgeon, he served his community with skill, humility, and a genuine desire to help. He was a devoted husband to Sheela Patel, a loving father to Nilesh (Hetal), Niraj, and Shifali (Steve), and a proud and adoring grandfather to Arya, Zahra, Siyana, and Shray. His family was the center of his world, and everything he did was guided by his love for them.

Vasant was known for his dry sense of humor, his quiet strength, and his steady presence. He had a natural way of supporting those around him-always ready to help, listen, or offer guidance without expecting anything in return. His generosity, warmth, and dedication to medicine left a lasting impression not only on his patients, but on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Vasant will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the life he lived, the people he healed, and the love he gave so freely.
