Valerie Anne Caprario, age 71, passed away on December 23, 2025.

Valerie was born on February 18, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, before being raised on Long Island, New York. In the early 1970s, she made Charlotte County, Florida her home, where she built a life centered around family, career, and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Caprario; her daughters, Danielle Caprario and Kelley Caprario; her grandson, Cameron; her granddaughters, Caylee and Cora; and her sisters, Christina Recek Weisser and Stacie McTigue (Colin McTigue). Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Agnes Recek.

Valerie dedicated over 45 years of her life to her career as a Respiratory Therapist, a profession she truly loved. She cared deeply for her patients and formed lasting bonds with coworkers throughout her career. Her compassion, dedication, and kindness left an enduring impact on everyone she worked with.

Known for her fun-loving spirit and infectious smile, Valerie had a remarkable ability to light up any room she entered. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met, touching countless lives with her warmth, laughter, and genuine care for others.

A private service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery. At a later date, a Celebration of Life will be announced and will be open to all who were fortunate enough to have Valerie touch their hearts.
