Tina Annette Simpkins, lovingly known to many as a beautiful mermaid, gracefully swam into the world on June 19, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio to Delbert and Ella Legg. She entered eternity unexpectedly on February 25, 2024, in Port Charlotte, Florida, but her memory will forever ripple through the lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Legg, her mother, Ella Legg, her brother, Delbert Legg II, and her beloved son, Christopher Simpkins.
In her 59 years of life, Tina wove a tapestry of love and generosity that will endure beyond her passing. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew her. Tina is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, George Simpkins, who stood by her side through thick and thin.
Tina's spirit lives on through her daughters, Elizabeth Mitchell (Jason Frost) and Kathern Hudson (Richard Hudson), her son Justin Simpkins (Tera Simpkins), and her cherished grandchildren, Ella and Luke Harrell, Dali, Abe, and Rosie Hudson, and Kinzleigh Simpkins, her loving brother Jeff Legg, and loving sister Octavia Hyatt. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, who were all touched by her warmth and affection.
Throughout her life, Tina found joy in her work as a medical assistant, where she found fulfillment in helping others. Her caring nature and selfless spirit shone brightly in her chosen career, leaving a lasting impact on those she served. When not at work, Tina found solace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life - the beach, shopping, spending time with family and friends and acts of service and kindness. Her hobbies and interests were a reflection of her loving and giving nature.
Tina will be remembered for her radiant smile, her boundless love, and her unwavering generosity. While she may have left this world too soon, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her legacy of love will endure for generations to come.
