Thomas Hines

Thomas Hines, 61, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on June 15, 2022. He was born on March 18, 1961, to Donald and Arlene Hines in Morse Bluff, NE. Thomas relocated from Lincoln, NE to Florida 20 years ago, retiring from Borden Milk after 10 years of driving for the company. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Charlotte. Thomas enjoyed fishing, camping, coin collecting, listening to music, gazing at the planets and stars, watching rocket launches at Kennedy Space Station, dominating as the all-time champion of Jeopardy, and watching his Husker’s, “GO BIG RED.” He was a loving father and adored spending time with his grandkids.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his daughters Jennifer Hines of Arcadia, FL, and Colleen (Michael) Sexton of Cape Coral, FL; brother Robert Hines; and his grandchildren Russell, Penelope, and Colton. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 36 years Erin.

A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 am on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Johnson Taylor Funeral in Punta Gorda, with funeral services to begin at 11:00 am. A graveside service will immediately follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
