Sylvester Williams Jr.

Sylvester Williams, Jr., 70, passed away on September 18, 2024, in Punta Gorda, FL.  He was born on June 8,1954 in Sarasota, FL, to Sylvester Williams Sr. and Irene Gibson.

Sylvester graduated and pursued his career as a Concrete Finisher and went on to work for over 50 years before retiring with his wife.

Sylvester married Deborah Williams in 1990. He and Deborah were together for 54 years. The couple had 2 children, Darius Williams 49 and Rudelton Bellamy 43.

Sylvester was best known for his fishing skills, hunting skills, the love of his Dallas Cowboys, always knowing directions and the weather. Sylvester was also know as a VERY hard worker and provider for his family.

Sylvester is survived by his loving wife Deborah Williams; Sons Darius Williams and Redelton Bellamy; Sister Martha Williams; Brother John Williams; Granddaughter Shaundaria Williams; Great-Grandson Jadari Williams; a host of Nieces & Nephews; Daughter-In-Law Brandi Williams; and Sisters-in-Law Shirley, Rosemary, Cynthia.

Sylvester is preceded in death by Sylvester Williams Sr.- father, Irene Gibson Williams passed shortly after Sylvester Williams Jr.

The memorial service for Sylvester Williams Jr. will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 28th at Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda, 1515 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda FL, and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 29th at Whitaker Gateway Park, North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL.

Memorial donations can be made in Sylvester's name to Deborah Williams.
