It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Z. Steve Chytry, who left us on June 12, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on July 30, 1948, in Lanklaar, Belgium, Steve lived a full and vibrant life, ultimately calling Punta Gorda, Florida, his home.
Steve was a kind soul known for his infectious smile that brightened the lives of everyone around him. He was a devoted husband to Ann Maes, with whom he shared 15 wonderful years. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and warmth. Steve was a proud father to sons Stephan M. Chytry (Melissa), Steven Kampa (Kaori), and Tom Kampa. He cherished his role as a grandfather to four adoring grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Professionally, Steve had a successful career in risk management within the waste management industry. His keen insight and thoughtful approach made a significant impact in his field. Outside of work, he was passionate about cooking, enjoyed time on the golf course, reveled in classical music, and took great pride in nurturing his beloved tomato plants.
He is survived by his beloved wife Ann; his sons and their families; his sister Barbara Seaman; and nephew Michael Seaman. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Stefan and Katarzyna Gandor Chytry.
