Russell W. Burns

Russell "Russ" Burns, 53, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away peacefully while residing at his parent's home on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015. Russ was born in Peoria, IL on July 13, 1961. He was an avid animal lover, motorcycle enthusiast and a gifted mechanic. Russ will always be remembered as an energetic helper to those he loved. Russ is survived by his father, Robert Burns; brother, Scott (Kathy) Burns; sister, Susan (Kent) Riley; sister, Sandy (Dave) Backes; aunt, Pam Garant; uncle , Steve(Rose) Burns; girlfriend, Chris Moree; his children Josh Woods (Burns), Paul Burns and Casey Burns, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Burns, infant sister and nephew Robert Burns as well as his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
