Robert M. Weller

Robert M. Weller, 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Punta Gorda on April 26, 2012. He was the son of Bert and Winifred (Strait) Weller, born June 12, 1926 in Ellicottville, NY. Robert served in the Navy during WWII, and took part in the Normandy invasion. He became a home builder and land developer and headed Weller Home Corp for 25 years. Robert was a past member of South Town Builders and Niagra Frontier Builders; he belonged to the Weslyan Church in Hamburg, NY. Robert and Marilyn came to Punta Gorda in 1980 from Hamburg. Robert will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn (Watkins) Weller, sons, Robert M. (Barbara) Weller, Jr., and Dana Weller; grandchild, Corey Weller; sisters, Charlotte, Janice, and Elizabeth; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
