Richard “Tom” Thomas Brown, 82, of Gahanna, OH passed away on April 13, 2021. He was born on July 17, 1938, to Arthur and Eva Brown in Mount Vernon, OH. Tom was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church for 45 years and of the Mifflin Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and rode for many years on the GOBA Greater Ohio Bicycle Tour and Tour of the Scioto River Valley Bicycle rides, TOSRV.
Tom honorably served in the Army Reserves for many years after graduating from Mount Vernon High School in 1956. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and attended home football games for 40 years. He and Donna moved to Punta Gorda Florida 13 years ago, to spend their winters in the sunshine.
Tom will be deeply missed by his best friend and wife of 56 years, Donna Porter Brown; daughters Jennifer (David) Lynn Brown Wildermuth of Gahanna, OH, Jodi (Shane) Suzanne Brown Ware of Thornton, CO; brother Paul Brown; grandchildren Lauren Lee and Jackson Thomas Ware and Chelsea and Andrew Wildermuth. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Brown.
