Richard A. Serrell

Richard A. Serrell, 79, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away May 12, 2022. He was born on October 21, 1942, in Mineola, New York to Arthur and Ann Serrell. Richard worked as a medical physicist for Nassau County Medical Center in New York until 1998 when he relocated to Florida from Long Island. He continued his work throughout Florida until his retirement. Richard was a member of Grace Bible Church and enjoyed photography and photo editing, playing his guitar, and camping.

Richard will be deeply missed by his daughters Jennifer Sloan (Doug), Kathryn Serrell, and Elizabeth Nelson (Nate); sons Daniel Serrell (Aimee) and Peter Serrell (Carissa); sister Sandra Flynn; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Nicholas, Julia, Isabella, Cody, Clayton, Tucker, Ethan, Jackson, Gilbert, Noah, Elijah, Caleb, Ezra, and Noelle. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 44 years Lynn Serrell, and his brother Robert Serrell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Murdock Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Richard’s name to www.christianaid.org.
