Rex was born in Lakeview MI, on May 24th, 1959, and passed away in his home on October 23, 2021, he was 62. He is survived by his spouse of 39 years, Catherine Giardelli Hysell. His son's Adam Joseph and Aaron Luke, two beautiful daughter in-laws, Katelynn and Emily, 2 precious grandchildren, Brendan and Remington. His mother Lois Wilkins, sister Brenda Brunderman, brother John and stepbrother Rick. Many step-siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was co-owner of Charlotte Stucco for 23 years and went on to do Handyman services for 8 years. But he truly enjoyed his last occupation managing and growing macadamia trees locally here in Nocatee. He loved and cared for those trees with all he had. He had a love for his family like no other, and a passion for fishing that was obvious to all. He enjoyed people, he would say I have never met a stranger, only a future friend.
We will be gathering at 4pm to have a reflection of Rex's life, alongside the Peace River, lead by Pastor Sammy Brooks. This was one of Rex's favorite places to be. In lieu of flowers, we will be taking donations for the 2 fishing events Rex really liked. One involves Veterans and the other children with disabilities, once we have that information we will post it.
