Phillip J. Monestero, Sr.

Phillip Joseph Monestero, Sr., CPD Ret., USMC, aged 73, originally from Chicago, IL, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, February 28, 2022, in Port Charlotte, FL. He is the beloved husband of 52 years of Darlene (nee Andrychowski); loving father of Deanna, Shellie, Phillip, Jr. (Kelly) and Joseph, CPD; proud grandfather of Dominick, Nicholas, Hayley, Brody, Bella and Nora; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; fond cousin and friend of many. Phillip will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Angelina (nee Messana) Monestero and brother Frank (Sandra) Monestero.

Services will be private. Memorial donations may be made in Phillip’s name to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation or to Disabled American Veterans, VA Regional Office, Chicago, IL.
