Mike Trentacosta

Earlier this year, Mike was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He chose to fight it head-on and began aggressive chemotherapy at Moffitt Cancer Center in late May. Though he responded well at first, his condition rapidly declined, and ultimately, he passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.

He was a devoted son, a caring brother, a loving husband and father, and a friend to many. As a 9/11 responder and NYPD detective, he served with unwavering strength and compassion. He was a grill master, a classic rock enthusiast, and a skilled cook who could turn any meal into a memory.

He was our handyman, our computer expert, a steady presence in our lives. Mike had a heart filled with generosity, a spirit of kindness, and a sense of humor only a few would find funny. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes.

He will be sorely missed, and we were beyond blessed to have him in our lives.
