Michael McChesney

September 25, 1957 — September 15, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Michael McChesney, beloved husband, dad, son, Papa, brother, uncle, and friend who left us on September 15, 2025, at the age of 67.

Born on September 25, 1957, in Quincy, Massachusetts, Mike brought warmth and joy to all who crossed his path. A carpenter by trade, his passion for his work was evident, and his dedication to his craft resonated deeply in every project he undertook. He was not only known for his skills but also for his kindness, generosity, and his unwavering ability to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Beyond his profession, he found joy in gardening, caring for his animals, pursuing arts and crafts, and spending peaceful days fishing. His kindness and respect earned him countless friends, from high school and college companions to work colleagues. To know Mike was to love him.

Mike was always leaving a mark of humor wherever he went. With a penchant for making those around him laugh, he had a special way of keeping family and friends on their toes, often leaving them to wonder if he was being serious or playful. His favorite saying, "Nice effort," will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Mike was especially devoted to his wife, Cindy, whom he affectionately called his "little woman" and the "love of his life." He took pride in making her smile every single day. Together, they shared countless memories and a love that inspired all who knew them. Cindy will especially hold dear the special evenings spent side by side with her movie guru, enjoying action films together. Their love was a constant source of joy and inspiration, felt by everyone fortunate enough to witness it.

Mike's pride in his children and grandchildren was evident in every conversation. He was a proud father to his daughter Robyn and son Joseph, and a loving grandfather to seven cherished grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Mike often bragged about his family, lighting up with joy as he shared their accomplishments.

Mike is also survived by his loving mother Sylvia, sister Cyndi and niece Chandra, who will forever treasure the laughter, guidance, and love he brought into their lives. He is preceded in death by his father Charles McChesney.
