Linda Lou Williams, 81, from Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on March 25, 2026, in Port Charlotte, Florida. Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Linda was the daughter of Elizabeth Mae Pralle and William Pralle.

Linda is survived by her son, Paul Berkley, daughter-in-law Lisa Berkley, her cherished granddaughter Allison Berkley, sister Sharon Fox, and brother-in-law Jay Fox.

Linda was preceded in death by husband Mike Williams in 2020, her parents, her sister Lavetta Pralle, and brother Bill Pralle.

Linda married Charles W. Berkley and had their son Paul in 1969. Linda dedicated much of her life to the Banking industry, working at banks in and around Chicago Heights and Lynwood, Illinois while her son Paul was growing up. She spent a few years in Ghent, Minnesota with her second husband owning and running a bar, then finally decided Florida was the place to be.

During her long stay in Punta Gorda, she continued in the banking industry working for four local banks in many roles. She managed to make it through the hurricane Charlie in 2004 and Ian in 2022. Linda served on both the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce Board as well as the C.A.R.E Board. She was an active member and Officer for the Business and Professional Women of Charlotte County.

Linda loved working in the community. You could always find her at local ribbon cuttings, The Punta Gorda Wine and Jazz Festival, the Woman's Build for Habitat for Humanity, BPW Wacky Wiffer Golf Tournaments and at the Downtown Punta Gorda Tree Lighting Ceramony as Mrs. Claus, just to name a few.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered support during her difficult time, especially Tidewell Hospice for their peaceful care allowing Linda to pass comfortably. A Celebration of Life will be held in Punta Gorda on May 1 from 5-8 PM at the Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda, 1515 Tamiami Trail.
