Our beloved father, Lawrence C. Roscoe, aged 86, of Morristown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 26, 2025. Born on October 19, 1938, in Queens, New York, he lived a full life defined by his passion for engineering, education, and family.
Lawrence spent many years as an esteemed electrical engineer with Bell Laboratories, making substantial contributions to the telecommunications industry with his sharp mind and endless reservoir of knowledge. His career was not only marked by professional achievements but also by his commitment to nurturing the next generation of engineers as a respected professor at County College of Morris. Lawrence had a remarkable knack for solving complex problems and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, a testament to his caring nature and spirit of generosity.
A dedicated member of St. Thomas More in Convent Station, New Jersey, he found solace and community within his faith. Lawrence's wisdom and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Kathleen O'Brien and Peg Tierney; sons, Brian Roscoe and Larry Roscoe; nine cherished grandchildren; and ten dear great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of his legacy in their hearts.In honor of Lawrence, a private family celebration of life will be planned, allowing loved ones to gather and reflect on the wonderful memories shared with him.
