Laura D. Luna, 61, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on March 2, 2020. She was born on April 2, 1958, to Francisco and Lorraine Luna in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Long Island, NY, Laura moved to
Florida, lived several years in Tampa & Daytona then came to settle her last years in Punta Gorda in 2017. She was an efficient Medical assistant & Wholesale Retail Specialist for many years.
As a volunteer, she was an active member of the local Tender Hearts Partnership, Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge Organizations.
Laura adored her precious dogs, Frankie a Chihuahua, who she named after her dad and Annie a Dachshund, who she named after a dear childhood friend.
Laura will be especially missed by her favorite nephew Anthony Torres, her step-mother Irma Luna, step-sister Debbie Castellano, step-sister and husband Sandra & Israel Torres. She will also be deeply missed by her half-sister Marianna Vanderhoof, half brother, and parents. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Luna and her father Francisco Luna.
