2:00 - 4:00 pm (Eastern time)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith William Litchfield, aged 69, on February 7, 2026, in Punta Gorda, Florida. Born on October 27, 1956, in Athol, Massachusetts, Keith's journey through life was marked by his deep passion for his family, his career, and his many interests.
A proud graduate of Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School in Orange, MA, Keith excelled in music, playing the trombone in both concert and marching bands, and singing in district and all-state choirs. He continued his education at Worcester State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Nuclear Medicine, which laid the foundation for his lifelong career as an Industrial Hygienist with the U.S. Veterans Administration.
On August 16, 1980, Keith married his beloved wife, Noreen, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Their enduring partnership was characterized by a shared love for boating, camping, football, and scuba diving, nurturing an adventurous spirit that filled their lives with joy. Keith was known for his warm and caring nature, which extended to his cherished pets, especially Tiger, Fernando, and Brady.
A prominent member of both the Rhode Island Yacht Club as Past Commodore and the Punta Gorda Elks Lodge #2606 and Sons of the Legion Squadron #103, Keith's leadership and camaraderie left a lasting impact on his community. His legacy will live on through his brother Kevin W. Litchfield (Pamela) of Orange, Massachusetts, his sisters-in-law, Michelle Raymond (Scott) of Georgetown, Maine, Denise Doherty of Concord, New Hampshire, and Joanne Manning of Plainfield, Illinois, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews: Mark, Jordan, Dylan, Nora, Ben, Burke, and Nic; and great-niece and great-nephew, Lily and Westley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Eugene Litchfield.
A memorial service will be held to honor Keith's life on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Alligator Park Clubhouse, located at 6400 Taylor Road, Punta Gorda, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather, share their memories, and celebrate the remarkable life of a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County, www.awlshelter.org, or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, www.t2t.org, organizations that reflect Keith's compassion for both animals and community service.
Keith will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
