John J. Duddy Jr., 71, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020. He was born on September 1, 1948, to John Sr. and Norma Duddy in Plains, PA.
John honorably served in the United States Air Force and Navy Reserves. Returning to Suscon, PA, he was the owner of Duddy’s Deli for 31 years and worked for Dyno-Nobel, formally Independent Explosives, retiring in 2004. John was an active member of the V.F.W. in Dupont, PA, and the PAV. John and his wife Charlene relocated to Port Charlotte, FL in 2014, where he became a member of the Moose Lodge 2121, Deep Creek Elks, and the American Legion 110 Post.
John will be deeply missed by his wife of 38 years Charlene; sons John III and Michael Duddy; stepson Frank Karvan Jr.; brother Joseph Duddy; sisters Patti Ann Castano, Eileen Nichols, Kathy Mulcahy, Mary Beach, and Norma Degraw; and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Ruth Brandolino.
