John E. Sheppard, Jr.

John "Shep" Sheppard, 79, of Punta Gorda died June 17, 2009. He was born January 7, 1930 and lived his entire life in Punta Gorda. Shep served in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing and gardening; he owned the Trailer Bar in Punta Gorda for 15 years. Shep will be greatly missed by his children, Gene (Linda) Sheppard, Melinda (Eugene) Horner, Troy (Wanda) Sheppard, Sheila Mann, and Kathleen Bray; grandchildren, Wayne, Travis, Kristen, Shawn, and Carlee; nieces and nephews, Paul, Christy, Patty, donna, Billy, Buddy, and Linda; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Noon - 1:00 pm Monday, June 22 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, with the service in celebration of Shep's life following at 1:00 pm.
