Jean Laura Jensen

Jean Laura Jensen, 89, of Punta Gorda, FL formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed Sunday, April 11, 2010. She was born Jan.30, 1921, Chicago, Il. Jean married Bertram C. Jensen in May 1942. Jean was a mother first, five children ages 62 to 57, an artist, gourmet cook and an award winning writer for the Indianapolis News with her own column as the fashion editor. Her published interviews with visiting celebrities and her witty and whimsical critiques of the latest fashions, miniskirts to Givenchy gowns, entertained loyal readers for 20 years. Her husband, a son, four daughters and seven grandchildren celebrate her life and honor her gift to them: joi de vivre. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
