Jayce Martin-Layne

Jayce Montreal Martin-Layne unexpectedly passed on November 22, 2024. Jayce was born October 2, 2024 at 4:37 AM in Venice, FL at Sarasota Memorial Hospital to Jaccarie Montreal Layne and Sierra Lynn Martin. Jayce weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 19in at birth.

Although his time with us on earth was short; he loved to cuddle, chew on his fists, eat, and watch his sister and cousins play.

Jayce is preceded in death by his great-grandfather David Weaver (Poppy) and step-grandfather James Claydon (Pop Pop).

Jayce is survived by his parents, Sierra Martin and Jaccarie Layne, his sister Samiya Martin, his grandparents Amy Martin, Richard Martin Jr, Akesha Jenkins, Darrell Layne, his aunts Sabrina Martin, A'Deja Jenkins, Darneisha Layne, Kerie Roper, and Sami Knight, his uncles Andrew and Riley Martin, his cousins Layliana Merlo, Azauri and Azalea Aquino, Nevaeh and Markele Hearns Jr, his great-grandparents Cheryl Weaver, Linda and Richard Martin, Lillie Brown, Benjamin and Cynthia Brown, the family's protective dog Blaze and many family friends who loved him as their own.

There will be a viewing from 4:00-5:30 pm and a celebration of life for Jayce at the Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 5:30-7:00 pm.
