Harry A. Demmon of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the age of 102.

He was born on January 27, 1924, to the late Harry A. Demmon, Sr. and the late Rose Demmon Stingle.

He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He then married the love of his life, Ruth Himebrook Demmon, who preceded him in death.

During their 70 years of marriage, they had three children: Cheryl (deceased), Gregory (Highlands Ranch, CO), and Cindy Silvers (Punta Gorda). He was also the proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He worked for U.S. Steel as a Project Engineer for his entire career.

The family would like to thank the hardworking caregivers of Honor, formerly Home Instead, and the team from Tidewell Hospice.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda, 1515 S Tamiami Trl, Punta Gorda, at 12:30 PM on Friday, September 18th.
