Eric Ebersole

May 12, 1948 — April 30, 2025

In Loving Memory of Eric Reed Ebersole (1948-2025)

Eric Reed Ebersole, devoted husband, cherished father, beloved grandfather, and steadfast friend, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 76, fiercely fighting a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.

Born on May 12, 1948, in Auburn, Indiana. Eric, raised by his grandmother, grew up with a deep sense of family, integrity, and hard work. He met the love of his life, Danielle, in high school, and from the moment they met, they built a life centered on love, partnership, hard work, and many wonderous adventures. Together, they celebrated 56 years of marriage and were together for 61 years in whole. Those years filled with shared dreams, challenges weathered hand in hand, and countless ordinary days made extraordinary by each other's presence.

Eric was known for his steady heart, his characteristic humor, and his ability to fix just about anything-from leaky faucets to broken spirits. He worked as a project manager for over 40 years and took great pride in establishing life-long relationships, while always treating everyone with the utmost respect and delivering excellence on every project. Eric was always known for his patience, taking the time to listen and guide without judgment.

At home, Eric was the calm in the storm. Whether he was coaching soccer games, teaching his boys, Matt and Josh, how to fish, or dancing with Danielle in the kitchen, his love was felt in every small act. He found joy in the simple things-morning coffee, telling or sending various jokes, and time spent with his granddaughter, Lillian (Lily) who adored her "Boppy."

He is survived by his beloved wife, Danielle Larson; their children, Matthew Reed Ebersole with his wife Stacy, Joshua Reed Ebersole (Dee Reyna), and one special granddaughter, Lily, who brought him endless pride and joy. He also leaves behind a lifetime of closeness with his brothers, David (Preceded in death), Jeff, Craig, and Tracy, all of whom meant the world to him. He also leaves behind a lifetime of dear friends who will remember his warmth, his loyalty, and his innate ability to make friends with everyone he had the privilege to meet, he made life better just by being there.

In honor of Eric's generous spirit, the family asks that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network for those who are affected with Pancreatic Cancer. Searching for a cure with fundraising and other avenues.

Though he is no longer with us, the love Eric selflessly gave and the life he lived will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
