Elizabeth Joyce Carter

Elizabeth Joyce Carter, 64, of Port Charlotte passed away September 15, 2009. She was born February 2, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA. Elizabeth was a budget officer for the US Government before retiring in 2004. She came to Port Charlotte from Woodbridge, VA and was active in the community as a Master Gardener of the Charlotte County Cultural Center and treasurer for the local chapter of the National Assn. of Retired Federal Employees. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and gardening; she was of the Christian faith. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her daughters, Monica Carter, Gloria Carter, and Vivi Carter all of Charlotte, NC; sons, Alex Morgan of Dumfries, VA, Gene Carter of Bowie, MD, and Ivan Carter of Charlotte, NC; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and best friends, Pat & Bob Horvath.
