Edwin W. Gintling

Ed W. Gintling, 76, of North Port, formerly of Canton, OH passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014. He was born May 21, 1937 in Akron, OH to Harley and Helen Gintling. Ed was a retired Police Officer from Jackson Township, OH. He was a member of the AMVETS, VFW, Elks, Eagles and 32nd degree Masonic Mason and a past Monarch of Nazir Grotto . Ed was very active and enjoyed playing darts, fishing and dancing. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ed will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Yvonne; son, Ed Gintling; daughter, Renee (Chris) Skellett; grandchildren, Thomas, Haden, Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.
