David E. Buffington

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of David E. Buffington on May 10, 2025. Born on May 23, 1955, in Punta Gorda, Florida, David was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and loyal friend.

David honorably served his country in the United States Navy, enlisting in 1973. Over the course of 20 years of dedicated service, he exemplified the highest values of duty, integrity, and honor, retiring in 1993 with pride in all he had accomplished.

For 36 years, David shared a strong and loving bond with his wife, Lisa Buffington. Together, they built a life full of support, laughter, and deep affection. He was a proud father to Teri Byerley and Larry Moseburg, and a doting grandfather, whose love and guidance will continue to live on through them.

David is also survived by his siblings-brothers Bill, John, Jimmy, and Bobbie Buffington, and his sister, Wendy Luke-who will forever remember him for his warmth, wisdom, and steady presence.

David was preceded in death by his parents Milton and Beverly Buffington.

David touched the lives of many with his compassion and strength. His memory will be held dearly by all who knew and loved him.
