Curtis Meinsen, a longtime resident of Branford, Connecticut, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Hamden, Connecticut, Curt spent most of his life in Branford where he built a life filled with family, friendship, laughter and many cherished memories.

Curt was predeceased by his parents, Natalie and William Meinsen. He is survived by his daughters, Carissa (Joe) Anastasio, Jessica (CJ) Probulis; his former wife, Lynda Meinsen, who remained a close and cherished part of his life; his beloved granddaughters, Brooke and Kaelyn Anastasio; and his siblings Billy and Sherri.

Curt spent most of his working life as an automotive mechanic, specializing in rebuilding transmissions. He took pride in his work and was known for his skill and dedication. Outside of work, Curt was an avid motorcyclist who loved riding his Harley. He also enjoyed playing golf, cooking and had a deep love for dogs. Above all, he treasured time spent with the people he loved.

Curt was kindhearted, welcoming, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved being around people and had a special ability to make everyone laugh. Of all his accomplishments, however, Curt was most proud of his daughters and the lives they built. His love and pride for his family were evident to all who knew him.

Curt will be remembered for his generous heart, infectious laughter, love of motorcycles, life, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be sincerely missed by his daughters, granddaughters, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Branford, Connecticut on August 29th at 10 am, followed by a Christian Burial at St. Agnes Cemetery.
