Bruce F. Hoyt

Bruce F. Hoyt left this world on January 25, 2025. He was born on September 7, 1943, to Kenneth & Marie (Amo) Hoyt in Rochester, NY. He married the love of his life, Neva F. (Emerson) Hoyt on September 3, 1983, in Rochester, NY.

Bruce was a lifetime learner receiving his Associate's Degree from his employer, Eastman Kodak Company where he worked as a supervisor in paper finishing. He retired from Eastman Kodak after 27 years of service in 1992. Bruce grew up traveling with his family and finally settled in Rochester where he lived and raised his family until he and Neva moved to Punta Gorda in February 2020. Bruce was a man's man and enjoyed camping, hunting, caring for his horses and spending time with family and friends.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Neva F. (Emerson) Hoyt; 3 sons, Michael (Terri) Hoyt, Kevin (Marlene) Hoyt, and John (Jeannine) Emerson; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dogs Buddy and Corki. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Marie (Amo) Hoyt; brothers Bob (Evelyn) Hoyt, Ken Hoyt, and Dick (Doris) Hoyt; and sister Joy (Warren) Cleveland.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Lakeview Community Church in Rochester, NY on June 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Everyone is then invited to a family gathering thereafter.
