Barbara R. Hortman

Barbara R. Hortman, 90, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Wilmington, DE and South Carolina passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Herman and Lillian Rogers, born on December 9, 1923 in Kokomo, IN. Barbara will be greatly missed by her daughters, Judy Smith of Jamestown, RI and Nancy (Jack) Whaley of Port Charlotte, FL; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hortman and son-in-law, Dwight Smith. A private service will be held at Sarasota Veteran Cemetery at a later date.
