Paul Peter Oswald, 81, of Punta Gorda, formerly of Chicago/Palatine, IL was called to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 with his wife Gerri at his side. Paul was born on June 29, 1931 to Cornelius and Celia Oswald (Oszwaldowski) in Chicago. He graduated from Loyola University and served in the US Army. After holding a number of positions, in 1982, under Paul's guidance, a family-run business was established in Bensenville, IL, On-Time Messenger Service, Inc., which is still in operation. He married his loving wife, best friend and partner Geraldine (nee Radziejewski) in 1995. Paul was a kind, caring, generous man, who never boasted of his actions. He had a good sense of humor, especially evidenced by his unwavering support of the Chicago Cubs and his belief that "this is their year to win the World Series". He was a parishioner of San Antonio Catholic Church, where his wife cantors and sings in the choir and is President of the Women's Guild. After each Sunday's 11 AM Mass, he faithfully made the best coffee for all the choir members. Paul will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Gerri, sons, Paul (Mary), Michael (Patty), Sean (Deborah), Brian (Carol) and Dennis (Sherlyn) of Illinois and Kevin (Linda) of Colorado; sister, Bernadette of Wisconsin; step-son, Brian Prindiville of Connecticut; son-in-law, Carl (Paulette) Hengst of Illinois; mother-in-law, Alice Radziejewski; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren (with the third due in Sept); sister in law, Karen Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
