Kenneth S. Budzyna, 66, longtime resident of Killington, VT, and winter resident of Port Charlotte, FL. passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was the son of Stanley and Monica Budzyna, born July 21, 1947 in Shrewsbury, MA. Kenneth attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Gamma fraternity and received an Associate's Degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management. He then attended Kansas State University where he received his Bachelors and Masters degree in nutrition. He was the proprietor of the Summit Lodge from 1979 and was the founder and operator of the Grist Mill Restaurant until his retirement in 2005. Kenneth was a member of the Green Mountain Golf Course and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed golf, fishing, skiing, and was an accomplished naturalist. Kenneth will be greatly missed by his wife January, step son James Meyer, sisters Lorrayne and Deborah, and all those who loved and knew him.. He will also be missed by his beloved dogs, Buddy and Bean. He was predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Leonard.
