Harry R. Fowler, Jr., 88, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away on February 18, 2022. He was born on June 22, 1933, to Harry Sr. and Evelyn Fowler in Detroit, MI. Harry honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1952-to 1954. He retired from Troy Collision in Troy, MI. He moved to Punta Gorda in May of 2015 from Arizona, though he lived in the Punta Gorda area for many years prior. Harry was a member of the American Legion, Moose, Elks, and the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). He was the President of Leader Dogs for the Blind and loved going to automobile races and vintage car shows.
Harry will be deeply missed by son Anthony Fowler (Susan); granddaughter Angela Parslow (Timothy); 3 great-grandsons; brother Bill Fowler (Helen); and special friend and companion Pat (PatiO) Zimmer. He was preceded in death by his spouse Geraldine (Outland), son Richard Fowler, sister Barbara (Gene) Sember, Patricia Fowler, and Mary Lou (Glen) Moore.
The Sunday 8 o'clock AM Mass on March 13th at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church will be said in honor of Harry's memory. (Address: 1441 Spear St., Pt. Charlotte, FL 33948) Final arrangements will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in his name.
