Faye L. Cerecke

"Be faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life. 2 Timothy 4:8" Faye L. Cerecke, 81, of Punta Gorda passed away October 31, 2008. She was born April 25, 1927 in Gulfport, MS to B.C. and Mae (Perry) Woodcock. Faye came to this area in 1992 from St. Joseph, MI, after wintering here since 1985. She will be remembered as a great friend and caring woman who enjoyed blessing others with her gift of hospitality. Faye assisted her husband for many years in his business, Certified Metal Finishing of Benton Harbor, MI. She was a member of the Ventura Lakes Birthday Club. Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles A. Cerecke and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Judith (George) Godush of Stevensville, MI and Cynthia (Michael) Burgess of Marysville, MI; son, Richard (Lacinda) Cerecke of St. Joseph, MI; sister, Thelma Coaker of Leakesville, MS; grandchildren, Jason (Marie) Godush, Jami (William) Richardson, Sarah (Derek) Bober, Brandon (Mari) Cerecke, Jeanna Burgess and Alexandria Burgess; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Will Richardson, Kaydence Bober and Delaney Cerecke; and her special friends, Jack and Ann, Debbie, Russ, Karen, Connie and Joe, along with her friends from Ventura Lakes. A celebration of Faye's life will be Noon, Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Ventura Lakes Community Center in Punta Gorda.
